Based in Calgary, the Manager, Treasury and Risk plays a key role in generating and implementing policies and processes that enable energy risk to be monitored and managed. This role draws on your understanding of market price dynamics of deal pricing and risk analysis. The Manager, Treasury and Risk also supports broad commercial initiatives through the application of risk management practices. As a leader, this position will include supervision of risk management staff involved in the measurement, monitoring and reporting of commodity risks. In collaboration with the compliance team the Manger, Treasury and Risk will also ensure proper controls are in place and monitored for various applicable regulations.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you bring a strong risk management and analysis background with a keen understanding of the electrical generation market. Your technical knowledge is underpinned by well-developed communications skills that can confidently articulate risk positions and implications to a broad audience. Ideally, you have a related post-secondary degree in business or economics with ten-plus years of experience in the power industry. Further educational certifications including a CFA, FRM or ERP are considered advantageous.
