Founded in 1981, BearCom is North America’s largest solutions provider and systems integrator of push-to-talk wireless voice, video and data systems. BearCom designs and delivers solutions that boost operational efficiency and increase safety. They sell, rent, and service two-way radios, radio interoperability systems, IP video surveillance cameras, mesh broadband networks, point-to-point bridges, push-to-talk phones, remote call boxes, WLAN systems, and more.

With over 30,000 customers throughout North America, BearCom services a multitude of industries from petrochemical plants and construction firms to educational facilities and hotels. Their rentals team supports sporting events, award shows, conventions, and fairs, as well as some of the largest music festivals across North America.

Reporting to the President, BearCom Canada, and working closely with internal and external departments, the General Manager has direct responsibility for all operational aspects of the Edmonton and Grande Prairie branches. The General Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of Branch specific business plans as well as providing leadership, direction and support to the customer service, sales, rental and warehouse/procurement teams.

As a member of the leadership team for Canada, the General Manager has profit and loss responsibility and will be required to set the direction, create goals and objectives, and establish accountability to ensure business success is achieved as a cohesive team. The General Manager will build and maintain strong customer relationships and support regional business development and sales initiatives.

As an ideal candidate for this role, you will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience including at least 7 years in a business-to-business technology environment. Your entrepreneurial spirit, strategic acumen and deep management experience equip you with the skills necessary to lead operations with accountability and full financial responsibility. Your servant leader approach and exceptional people skills enable you to work collaboratively and build cohesive teams while earning credibility and trust at all levels of the organization. Successful candidates may be based in either Edmonton or Grande Prairie.

A Bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications are all considered assets.
