Bill Basarsky

Born and educated in Saskatchewan, Bill brings over 15 years of executive and senior level recruitment experience, having worked with Canadian-based national and global recruitment firms.

Bill has extensive recruitment experience across a broad range of industries, including: agri-business, construction, telecommunications, oil and gas service and production, power generation, mining, technology, and wide array of other industrial organizations.

In 2015, Bill founded Limelight Recruitment Inc. to continue his work in the executive recruitment and consulting industry.

Working closely with a team of geographically dispersed recruitment consultants and support staff, Bill utilizes his team and their unique strengths on every assignment engaged upon.

As a trusted business advisor and human resource consultant, Bill provides ongoing support and advice to several clients across Canada.

Colin Merrick
Senior Associate

Colin is a human capital consultant specializing in executive recruitment, corporate strategy, leadership, process re-engineering, organizational effectiveness, mergers & acquisitions and compensation.

Colin has extensive executive experience having worked as Chief Operating Officer at Deloitte and most recently as the Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Services at Newalta.

His expertise equips him with the ability to work collaboratively with clients to hire top-tier candidates that meet organizational needs and most importantly fit with company culture.

Colin utilizes his 30+ years of corporate and professional services firm experience to assist clients in hiring elite candidates to help organizations achieve their operational priorities.

Additionally, he works with executive and management teams to create integrated systems, programs and processes that align with organizational values, operational needs and financial objectives.

Colin is a Business Administration graduate from Calgary’s Mount Royal University and holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from the Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara, California.

Alexandra Zannis
Manager, Client Services and Administration

Alexandra joined the Limelight Recruitment team in 2019, she has an Honours Degree in Social Work from Carleton University as well as an Associate of Arts Degree in Global Studies. She currently resides in Ottawa while missing her roots back home in Calgary, Alberta.

With a strong emphasis on customer service and candidate care Alexandra leads all of Limelight Recruitments personality assessments, referencing, background checks and office administration.
