Based in Calgary and reporting to the President of Trotter & Morton Group of Companies, the Vice President, Industrial leads the Industrial business across Western Canada. The industrial business is comprised of: Trotter & Morton Industrial Services, Trotter & Morton Industrial Contracting, Whaler Industrial Contracting and Rambler Fabrication.
As a member of the Executive Team, the Vice President, Industrial provides senior leadership and operational direction. The incumbent will have profit and loss responsibility and play a key role in business development. In addition, the position will be responsible for aligning strategy with long-term business goals and planned growth targets. The Vice President, Industrial will further develop and execute a business plan that strengthens the division’s market position while meeting financial growth, quality and safety objectives. This includes building a process to pursue and deliver major projects ($50+M) in Western Canada.
As an ideal candidate for this role, you will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience including at least 10 years leading and managing within a multi-divisional construction company. Your professional approach and exceptional people skills enable you to work collaboratively and build cohesive teams while earning credibility and trust at all levels of the organization. Your experience leading large scale mechanical or electrical projects in industrial settings underpins your strategic approach to business growth. A bachelor’s degree and certifications related to project management and/or the construction industry are considered assets.
