Based in Edmonton and reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Controller the Senior Lead, Financial Reporting has overall accountability for Capital Power’s external financial reporting requirements including MD&A. This high visibility role is a critical member of the Accounting and Finance team and leads an elite group of reporting professionals. The Senior Lead, Financial Reporting will present draft quarterly financial results to the disclosure committee which includes the Chief Executive Officer.
As a candidate for this position, you enjoy being a part of the senior accounting and finance team. Your broad public company reporting experience is underpinned by a proven ability to build teams and enhance reporting processes. You are an avid learner with the ability to dig into complex, emerging accounting standards and reporting requirements. Foundationally, you have a post-secondary education in business, a CPA designation and a minimum of five years post designation experience.
