Based in Edmonton, with functional reporting to the Chair of the Audit Committee and administratively reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Finance & Analysis, the Director of Internal Audit leads the audit function and team, while developing and delivering the Annual Audit Plan to the Audit Committee. This high impact, high visibility role is a critical member of the Senior Leadership Team and leads an elite high-performance team of three Senior Auditors.
As a candidate for this position, you will enjoy working as a Partner to the business and leading a team of audit professionals. Your broad accounting knowledge is underpinned by a proven ability to lead and assess the results of large-scale, complex audits. You see the big picture, are an avid learner and have the curiosity and ability to dig into the details to drive accurate results. Foundationally, you have a post-secondary education in business and a CPA designation, complemented by a minimum of eight years’ experience focusing on Audit. A CIA designation is also considered advantageous.
