Based in Sherwood Park and reporting to the President the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of organizational strategies as well as providing direction to Project Management, Safety and Equipment Utilization professionals. This fast-moving, streamlined company provides a direct drive atmosphere where your ideas and directives will have a considerable impact on operational strategy and profitability.
As a member of the Executive Team, the Chief Operating Officer has full P&L responsibility and provides senior leadership and operational direction at the project level. The Chief Operating Officer will further develop and execute a business plan that strengthens AMAN’s market position while meeting financial, growth, quality and safety objectives. As Aman continues to grow and expand, there is an opportunity to shape and grow the team to effectively execute and deliver more projects. Balancing empathy with accountability through the fabric of the organization will be a guiding principle.
As an ideal candidate for this role, you will have a minimum of 20 years’ experience including at least five years managing operations. Your collegial approach and exceptional people skills enable you to establish trusting relationships with key stakeholders while building cohesive teams and earning credibility throughout the organization. Your hands-on experience leading mid-size building construction projects in the public and private sector underpins your ability to deliver projects that exceed client expectations while surpassing targets for budgets and timelines.
A Bachelor’s degree and certifications related to Six Sigma, LEED, construction and/or project management are all considered assets.
