Based in Fort McMurray, Alberta and reporting to the General Manager, Strategic Business
Partners, the HR Strategic Partner Lead serves as a trusted advisor and partner to support
leadership teams and enable people, operations, culture, talent, and HR strategy. Day-to-day,
you will work closely with Executives providing strategic HR support in the development of
people plans that support business strategy. You will diagnose, provide insight, and drive
proactive strategies to the priorities that are essential in delivering business strategy and goals.

The HR Strategic Partner Lead will support one or more Business Units with approximately
3,000 union and non-union employees in a 24/7 operating environment. This position will
utilize effective relationship building skills, business acumen, and broad technical HR expertise
to direct strategic, large-scale, high-impact HR initiatives and projects.

As a candidate for this role, your deep understanding of strategic human resources, change
management and project execution is underpinned by a consultative approach and a
demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence senior leaders and peers. Ideally, you will
have a minimum of ten years of HR experience including time in business-facing roles with
significant executive interaction.
